The Church of the Incarnation, Pittsburgh

Well our friends at Pittsburgh's Church of the Incarnation are up and running, having been been received at the 2012 diocesan convention as a Mission Fellowship-in-Formation. They even have a nice new website. If you're looking for something a little different from standard ACNA fare, this may be one to check out.

May they continue to prosper!

What, pray tell, is "standard ACNA fare"?

David,

If you know any other Pittsburgh parish with a priest who lists one of his side-interests as gastromusicology, I'll eat my hat!

Seriously though, I would offer two marks of differentiation.

1) For its size, Incarnation is probably more focused on the intersection of spirituality and the arts than any other parish.

2) In the best traditions of Trinity Cathedral, from which it was birthed, Incarnation proudly welcomes eccentrics (deliciously defined in a novel of which I was fond as those "who used to be centric but aren't any longer").

In other words, if you're a bit odd or unconventional, no one at Incarnation is going to notice, because they're all that way.

It doesn't make them better than you, just more unpredictable.
